• Warroad Adopts State Exemption For Political Signage (kq92.com) — Warroad residents should know the City Council has voted to follow Minnesota's exemption allowing noncommercial political signs in public rights of way around city streets during election season. The change limits the city's power to remove such signs, though it doesn't affect signage along state or county roads. Local stations KQ92 and KRWB plan continued coverage of council actions. 
• Roseau County woman charged with animal torture after dog starves to death (valleynewslive.com) — In Warroad, a 19-year-old resident is charged with felony animal torture after authorities say a dog in her care starved to death in a trailer home. The case, now in Roseau County court, has prompted an online petition seeking to bar her from owning or caring for animals for a decade and calling for tougher local animal-protection measures.
