The unanimously approved bill covers the stretch between Highway 61 and I-35E and now awaits Gov. Tim Walz’s signature, creating a lasting memorial near her hometown. 
• Former NAHL Prospects Challenge Champion Prepares for the Robertson Cup (nahl.com) — White Bear Lake hockey fans can cheer on hometown goalie Leo Gabriel as he heads back to Blaine aiming for a Robertson Cup title with the Lone Star Brahmas. The former White Bear Lake High School standout and Frank Brimsek Award winner is coming off a stellar NAHL rookie season, building on an already record-setting prep career.
• Bruce A. Alsaker (swiftcountymonitor.com) — White Bear Lake readers are remembering Bruce Allen Alsaker, who once called your community home after growing up in Glenwood and Benson. The 73-year-old electrician and outdoors enthusiast died May 10 in Benson, leaving behind children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family across Minnesota. A private family service will be held, with arrangements by Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
