• Trojans baseball team picks up victory at Jackson County Central (myradioworks.net) — Windom sports fans can note that Windom Area’s girls golf team placed 10th in the Big South Conference meet, competing alongside Worthington and other regional schools. Meanwhile, the Worthington Cubs fell 11-0 in an amateur baseball game played in Windom, as Worthington’s high school teams also logged busy days on the diamond and the golf course. 
• Windom artist takes Best of Show in Area Art Show (dglobe.com) — Windom’s own artist and former downtown shop owner David Strom just captured Best of Show at the Nobles County Art Center’s Area Art Show, honoring a collage inspired by southwest Minnesota’s farm and wind-turbine landscape. The longtime Windom resident now creates from studios in town after rebuilding his Cottonwood Lake home, and he continues experimenting with large-scale township-themed drawings and watercolor projects.
