Woodbury Mathnasium Expands to West Bloomington

On October 1, 2011, co-owners of the Woodbury Mathnasium, Debra Guertin and Earl Weibeler, expanded their business with the purchase of the West Bloomington Mathnasium Learning Center.  The West Bloomington center is located at 3810 W. Old Shakopee Rd. in Bloomington.

Guertin and Weibeler have owned and operated the Woodbury, MN since November of 2010.  The success of their students at the Woodbury location is evidenced by the success stories that cover the center’s “brag board”.  Student quotes include statements such as “I got 100% on my math test”, and “I got 23.5 out of 24 on my math test”.

As U.S. students continue to lag much of the world in math, parents can help their children find success in mathematics through the Mathnasium Learning Centers.

Center Director Deb Guertin holds a J.D. from the University of Minnesota, College of Law, an MA in human resource development from the University of St. Thomas, and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Minnesota, College of Education. Leveraging her analytical and problem solving skills acquired as a math student and teacher, Deb has led and taught cultural change, data management and business process change at several leading Minnesota companies over the last twenty five years. Fluency in mathematics is essential to success in the business world and provides the pathway to a rich variety of careers and opportunities.

Center Director of Operations Earl Weibeler applied his early love of mathematics as an electronics technician, trouble shooting and analyzing communications equipment and circuitry for the US Navy. He is the owner of a Minnesota consulting business, Crimson Leaf Corporation, with twenty years experience in designing and integrating computer software with best business practices including resource planning, capacity analysis, work process re-engineering, design of experiments, instrument calibration, root cause analysis and statistical process control.

Earl received his bachelor degree from the University of Minnesota and was awarded Certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute.

As the co-owner of the Mathnasium Woodbury and Bloomington, Earl again has the opportunity to utilize his interest in mathematics and is proud to introduce the Mathnasium method to the communities of Woodbury and Bloomington.
