Police say a gun theft incident in Woodbury ended in a standoff at a mobile home where the suspect exited disguised as a female.
WOODBURY, MN — A trail of blood and broken glass was left after a man stole a firearm from an outdoor recreational retailer in the east Twin Cities metro, police announced this week. Authorities said the incident ended in a standoff at a mobile home where the suspect exited the home disguised as a female.
At 3:50 p.m. Monday afternoon, Woodbury police were dispatched to Cabela’s at 8400 Hudson Road in Woodbury for a suspicious situation involving a male leaving the store with what appeared to be a bloody hand.
The suspect, later identified as, 20-year-old, Kevron Bivens was believed by authorities to have broken a glass case to obtain a handgun. Bivens left the store leaving a trail of blood, police said. Store employees observed Bivens leave the area and provided a vehicle description and license plate information to officers, according to authorities.

As officers from Woodbury, Washington County, and Minnesota State Patrol surrounded the home, they began directing the occupants to exit. The suspect allowed the occupants of the mobile home (two adult females, one adult male and three children) to exit without harm, according to authorities. The subject remained in the home and refused to comply with officers commands, police said.
Once officers evacuated the surrounding homes and created a perimeter, they again began giving commands for the subject to exit the home. After more than an hour, the suspect exited the home disguised as a female, police said. Officers reported that they took the suspect into custody without incident.
