• SiteLogIQ identifies $12.6 million in school district maintenance projects (dglobe.com) — Worthington’s District 518 is weighing about $12.6 million in high-priority maintenance projects for the high school, middle school, Prairie Elementary and the Learning Center, including roofs, windows, fire alarms and parking lots. Board members also reviewed surplus iPads, a tax abatement request, SPED transportation changes, the new district website, and updates on the ice arena and softball complex.

• COLLEGE SIGNING: Karbo joins the Bluejays' flock (pipestonestar.com) — Minnesota West in Worthington is adding standout Russell-Tyler-Ruthton senior Ava Karbo to its nationally competitive NJCAA Division III volleyball program. Karbo, an all-state outside hitter, chose the Bluejays for their welcoming culture, strong recent national finishes, and the small-class dental assistant program she’ll attend in Luverne.
