• Avera discontinues obstetric services in Worthington (dglobe.com) — Expectant parents in Worthington now need to look outside town for obstetric care, as Avera Worthington Specialty Clinic has stopped offering those services due to staffing changes. Current OB patients are being redirected individually, while well-woman, infant and pediatric care will continue locally and surgical and obstetric services shift to nearby Avera locations. 
• The Galvez Mendoza brothers: Three Homecoming kings, one family (dglobe.com) — Worthington High School is celebrating a rare family streak: three Galvez Mendoza brothers have each been crowned Homecoming king in recent years, including senior Saul this fall. The brothers credit kindness, school involvement and strong guidance from their parents for their success, and say they see the titles as a way to positively represent their school and family.
