• Proposed 2% tax in Ackerman fallen short by two votes (wcbi.com) — Ackerman voters narrowly rejected a proposed 2% tax that would have funded the planned Ackerman Sportsplex, falling just two votes short of the required 60% approval. With 113 votes for and 79 against, the measure reached 58.85%, leaving the sports complex project on hold until town leaders identify another funding source.
