• 83rd National Folk Festival and Mississippi Arts Commission Unveil Captivating Program for Festival's Mississippi Folklife Area (clarkecountytrib.com) — A bluegrass group from Ackerman, Alan Sibley & the Magnolia Ramblers, will represent the town at the National Folk Festival’s Mississippi Folklife Area in downtown Jackson this November. The free three-day event will spotlight traditional music, food, crafts, and cultural traditions from across Mississippi, giving Ackerman residents a chance to see local talent on a major statewide stage.
