On Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST, MSJW is hosting People Over Politics on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!
People Over Politics (POP) is a free, comprehensive legislative advocacy training designed to teach everyday Mississippians how laws are made, how to communicate effectively with legislators, and, most importantly, how to hold public officials accountable. As part of the 2026 legislative session, MSJW and our community partners are hosting a series of free POP workshops across the state to help community members become their own advocates and build power where they live.
As part of this program, participants will receive a comprehensive legislative advocacy training, a People Over Politics Advocacy Workbook, and the opportunity to join a free trip to the Mississippi Capitol during the legislative session to meet with legislators and advocate on the issues that matter most to them.
This event is free with RSVP. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and childcare and free parking will be available.
It’s time for our government to put People Over Politics. Be part of making change in Mississippi.
