• Man escapes mobile home fire in Rankin County (wlbt.com) — A Rankin County man escaped unharmed after a Monday morning mobile home fire on Duncan Circle, thanks to a smoke alarm that woke him as his bedroom window AC unit burned. Fire crews from Monterey, Robinhood, Brandon and the Rankin County EOC fully extinguished the blaze, though the home was destroyed. Local responders are crediting the alarm with preventing injuries.
