• Parents rally around embattled Canton charter school (mississippitoday.org) — Families in Canton are anxiously waiting to learn whether SR1 College Preparatory and STEM Academy will lose its charter after state regulators cited financial, documentation and food safety problems. Many parents say the small school has transformed their children’s learning and behavior, and they’re now scrambling to advocate for keeping one of the few alternatives to Canton’s public schools.
