A beloved leader on the Clinton High swim team and member of the Clinton band program, she’s being remembered across the district, and a GoFundMe has been created to support her family.
   

• Mayor's Youth Council holds first meeting (theclintoncourier.net) — Clinton teens have kicked off the city’s first Mayor’s Youth Council, meeting at City Hall to learn how local government works and share their perspectives with leaders. Forty-three students, many from Clinton High School, will spend the next year exploring public service, hearing from city departments, and even visiting the State Capitol as they help shape their community’s future.
   

• Gas prices see slight drop in Jackson metro (wlbt.com) — Drivers in Clinton are seeing some of Hinds County’s lowest gas prices, with Murphy USA at the Clinton Walmart on Highway 80 listed at $3.65 per gallon. That’s below the statewide average of $3.85, as prices across the Jackson metro have dipped about 12 cents since last week but remain over a dollar higher than a year ago.
