• Conehatta Teens To Compete in 71st Choctaw Indian Princess Pageant (newtoncountyappeal.com) — Two young women from the Conehatta Community, Alaysa Clemmons and LaChantay Jefferson, will proudly represent Conehatta in the 71st Choctaw Indian Princess Pageant at the Choctaw Indian Fair on July 15. They’ll compete alongside eight other Chahta Ohoyo from neighboring communities, with the winner serving as the Tribe’s official goodwill ambassador and cultural role model for the coming year.
