• WATCH: Family fearing for their safety after repeated flooding in Hernando (fox13memphis.com) — A Hernando family on Sandpiper Cove says repeated flooding has totaled two vehicles and left them fearing for neighbors’ safety, especially children and seniors. After the latest May 20 flash flooding, Mayor Chip Johnson says engineers found clogged storm drains and are scheduling drainage upgrades this week, but residents remain anxious whenever heavy rain is in the forecast.
