1. Jackson policy violation tied to rifle used in Queen Alexandria Lane killings (wapt.com) โ€” Jackson residents are learning that a Jackson Police Department officer violated firearm storage policy by leaving a SWAT rifle in a patrol vehicle, from which it was stolen and later linked to a June triple homicide on Queen Alexandria Lane. Records obtained through a public request outline the rules the officer allegedly broke, while city officials and JPD have not yet answered questions about discipline or accountability.
