  1. Two teenagers were shot in a drive-by shooting on Claiborne Avenue Saturday. Police say the suspect was driving a black Dodge Charger when he shot the victims, who were transported to Merit Health with non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Jackson Police Department at (601)-960-1217. (WJTV)
  2. The 18th annual "Women Empowering Women" conference was held at the Jackson Convention Complex on Saturday. The conference featured a number of workshops and sessions for women of all age groups, including a luncheon with four-time Grammy Award-winning Gospel singer Karen Clark-Sheard. There was also a workshop for men, which featured Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones as a guest speaker. (WJTV)
  3. A family from the west African country of Gambia has opened a new restaurant on East County Line Road. Sambou's African Kitchen held its grand opening on Saturday and plans to open at noon seven days a week. The menu will feature cuisines from east to west Africa and the Caribanas. (WAPT Jackson)
