1. Lauderdale County plans Minnow Bucket repairs (wtok.com) — Lauderdale County supervisors are moving ahead with resurfacing Minnow Bucket Road, using an $800,000 state appropriation that should arrive between July and October. The same legislation also sends money to local fire, police, VFW posts, Meridian’s airport, and Marion’s Dale Drive, bringing several infrastructure and safety upgrades to the Lauderdale area.
   

2. Lauderdale County Arrest Report: June 1st – June 2nd, 2026 (queencitynewsfeed.com) — Residents can see who was recently booked into the Lauderdale County jail between the morning of June 1 and the morning of June 2, including charges ranging from contempt of court to DUI and probation violations. The expanded awards highlight students’ leadership and service while reinforcing YPM’s commitment to investing in Meridian and Lauderdale County’s future leaders.

Metro Ambulance recognized by Meridian City Council (wtok.com) — Local EMS pros James Joseph and Mushula Tubby are being celebrated for years of dedicated service to Lauderdale County, after earning statewide EMT of the Year honors and recognition from the Meridian City Council. Their leadership, mentoring of new staff, and steady presence on tough calls highlight how Metro Ambulance supports residents across Lauderdale County every day.
