Brand brings lifelong love of performing arts to MCC (meridianstar.com) — Meridian Community College has hired Lydia Noelle Brand as its new choral and theater director, strengthening the campus performing arts scene. After working with the Meridian Blues baseball team, she's now leading MCC choirs, planning productions, and building partnerships with Meridian and Lauderdale County schools to showcase creative opportunities for local students.

Meridian Reacts to Dolly Parton's Death at the Jimmie Rodgers Museum (wtok.com) — Meridian's Jimmie Rodgers Museum is honoring Dolly Parton's legacy as locals reflect on her deep musical ties to Jimmie Rodgers and East Mississippi. Museum leaders and visitors share how her recording of "Mule Skinner Blues" and genre-crossing career connect Meridian's country roots to a global audience, offering comfort as fans mourn her passing.
