• Pearl police arrest Texas man wanted on child sex offense charge after Crime Stoppers tip (darkhorsepressnow.com) — Pearl police used a Crime Stoppers tip to locate and arrest a Texas man wanted on a child sex offense charge, after spotting his vehicle on Pearson Road and taking him into custody at a local residence. He was booked at the Pearl Police Department, transferred to Rankin County Jail, and now awaits extradition to Texas while presumed innocent in court.
• Lady Vikes, Missy Gators continue volleyball winning streaks (vicksburgpost.com) — Pearl volleyball fell in straight sets at home as Warren Central's Lady Vikes extended their winning streak with a 3–0 victory, highlighted by strong serving and scrappy defense. Despite some long rallies and hustle plays, Pearl couldn't overcome Warren Central's balanced attack as the visitors closed out the regular season on a high note.
