Southaven Police also assisted in the multi-agency investigation. The case stemmed from a deadly ambush after a Covington High School football game that left one woman dead and another injured.
   

5. The data center backlash comes for SpaceXAI's Colossus (scientificamerican.com) — Southaven residents living near SpaceXAI's massive gas-turbine power site are grappling with constant noise, air-quality worries, and lawsuits as the company powers its Colossus AI data centers just across the state line. Neighbors in Colonial Hills and nearby streets describe sleepless nights, health concerns, and falling property values, while city and state leaders tout billions in investment, new jobs, and tax revenue tied to the project.
