Tupelo man charged with armed robbery after Bryson Drive report (darkhorsepressnow.com) — Tupelo police have charged a local man with armed robbery after a reported incident on Bryson Drive, following a traffic stop that led to four suspects being identified. One suspect was denied bond in Tupelo Municipal Court, and the case now heads to a Lee County grand jury, underscoring ongoing public safety efforts in the city.

Clint Edge, 81 (nemiss.news) — Tupelo is mourning the passing of 81-year-old Tupelo-Clinton “Clint” Edge, a longtime insurance professional and man of faith tied closely to Life at Tupelo Pentecostal Church. He died June 1 at Sanctuary Hospice House, with Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo handling arrangements and inviting online condolences and memorial gifts.
   

3. UPDATE: Victim in Clay County shooting dies (wcbi.com) — A woman shot in a Clay County home has died after being airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, where both she and her son were taken. Authorities say the son allegedly shot his mother, then himself, and an eyewitness inside the home was not injured. Investigators currently believe mental health issues may have played a role.
   

4. Burnsville man faces DUI, other charges after vehicle struck roadside worker (wtva.com) — A roadside worker injured in a Burnsville work zone was airlifted to a Tupelo hospital and fortunately released the same day with no serious injuries. Police say a Burnsville man hit a garbage truck, entered a closed work area on Highway 72, and now faces DUI, drug, and traffic charges.
