Entergy says data centers will deliver more than $2 billion in savings to Mississippi customers (tippahnews.com) — Amazon plans to build a data center in Vicksburg as part of a broader Entergy Mississippi partnership that the utility says will save customers over $2 billion in the next 20 years. Entergy says these data centers will strengthen the grid, fund hundreds of millions in reliability upgrades, and bring thousands of jobs and major tax revenue across its 45-county service area.

5. Plaque honors legacy of Temple High Coaches McClelland and Dent (vicksburgnews.com) — Community members gathered at Vicksburg Junior High School to unveil a plaque honoring legendary Rosa A. Temple High basketball coaches Levern “Fish” McClelland and Belton Dent Sr. The tribute recalls their dominant 1960s Buccaneers teams, an undefeated 29-0 season, and the life lessons they passed on to Vicksburg students whose success reached colleges nationwide.
