• Affton Fire Protection District undergoes temporary relocation (callnewspapers.com) — Affton residents should know that Fire House 1 on Gravois is closing temporarily for major renovations, with all administrative staff and crews shifting to Houses 2 and 3. Funded by a 2024 bond, the project will modernize living quarters, training facilities, and administrative space, while officials say emergency response coverage in Affton will remain unchanged during construction.

• D. June Kreyling (mexicoledger.com) — A longtime Missouri resident, Delores June Kreyling, will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Affton following her recent passing at age 95. She was remembered for her dedication to family, her volunteer work with the National Alliance on Mental Illness in St. Louis, and her love of birdwatching and the log cabin she built with her husband.
