• Where the portal meets the path (missouri.edu) — Affton natives Bill and Nancy Thompson are key philanthropists behind Mizzou's Thompson Center for Autism & Neurodevelopment, which is expanding autism services for families across Missouri. Their gifts helped build a much larger, family‑focused facility in Columbia that shortens diagnosis wait times, supports intensive outpatient care, and trains future providers, giving Affton-connected families better in‑state options for neurodevelopmental care.
