70 Preschool Children Attempt World Record in Arnold
Children attending Goddard School in Arnold, and other school sites across the county, attempted to set a World Record for the largest Simon Says game.
Between 65 to 70 preschool children at The Goddard School in Arnold, at 3228 Miller Rd., stepped outside, at noon on Friday, to set the Guiness World Record for the largest Simon Says game.
Hopefully, about 12,300 students at other Goddard School locations around the countryβthere are 10 such locations in Missouriβalso played the game, said Marla Brunk, owner of the Arnold Goddard school.
Brunk, who led the game, needed 11 minutes to declare Blake Sellers, 3, the winner in Arnold.

"That was difficult, I was starting to run out of actions for the kids to follow," Brunk said afterwards.
It will take a few weeks to know if the children set the world record, a few Goddard instructors said.
Indepenent observers, who watched the children play, must send letters on their business or non-profit stationary to Guiness, by Sept. 30, verifying to the Arnold Goddard School activity.
Five minutes after the game, all the children took a nap.
