Arnold Man Gets 10 Year Prison Term for Burglary Charges, Probation Violation

An Arnold man will spend a decade in jail following a string of crime.
Devin M. Hochthurn, 24, has been sentenced to 10 years for burglary charges and a probation violation, according to court records.
In April 2011, Hochthurn, along withΒ with Aaron Bogue, 22, of Imperial, burglarized two Imperial homesβone in the 3500 block of Arrow Ridge and another in the 2900 block of Silverfern Courtβwhile someone was inside each of the homes, the report said.

Hochthurn pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced on May 30, 2012, to 10 years, but the sentence was suspended and he received five yearsβ probation.
He violated the probation and on Aug. 24, 2013, Jefferson County Div. 3 Circuit Judge Nathan B. Stewart sentenced him to theΒ 10 years.

Early release is a possibilityΒ if he successfully completes a 120-day treatment program, according to the report.
Hochthurn has alspΒ been charged with felony drug possession associated withΒ a June 27 incident in St. Louis; as well as aΒ misdemeanor drug possession stemming from a May 25 incident in Rolla.
Both cases are pending.
