• Jackie Eugene 'Butch' Powers (lawrencecountyrecord.com) — Longtime Aurora resident Jackie Eugene “Butch” Powers, 76, has passed away after a long illness, with arrangements handled by Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora. A 1967 Aurora High graduate and former City of Aurora employee, he was known for his love of horses and volunteer work at Making a Difference Riding Center. The family suggests memorial donations to C.A.R.E. in Aurora instead of flowers.
