• County Council OKs Barnhart subdivision (myleaderpaper.com) — Jefferson County Council has approved a 10-home Spring Creek subdivision on Stahl Road in Barnhart, reversing a prior Planning and Zoning denial over flooding concerns. Neighbors and one Barnhart councilman still worry the “fill and build” project could worsen stormwater issues. The council also advanced plans for a permanent Marco’s Tacos stand in Imperial and delayed a decision on a proposed RV park.
