The long-running fund, managed through Southwest Missouri Bank, supports a wide range of community services across the Four States region. 
• Donald J. 'Jim' Wyrick, 79 (thejournal-news.net) — A former Carl Junction resident, Donald James “Jim” Wyrick, 79, has died, leaving family that includes a daughter now living in Carl Junction. Remembered for his love of hands-on work, hot rods, and family time, he spent later years in Hillsboro but maintained deep ties across the region, including Oklahoma and Missouri.
