• DAR chapter dedicates monuments to two Revolutionary War soldiers buried in county (myleaderpaper.com) — A Revolutionary War veteran who once owned property in Cedar Hill is being honored with a new memorial stone, even though his likely burial site on that private land isn’t open to visitors. Local DAR members held a ceremony in Pevely, unveiled markers for two veterans, and are fundraising to add memorials for other unmarked Revolutionary War soldiers in Jefferson County.
