Local St. Louisan Receives National Award

Teri Griege Understands The Power of Running and Runs to Inspire

Local St. Louisan Teri Griege, an author, wife, mother, tri-athlete, World Champion Ironman and a Stage 4 colon cancer fighter, recently received national recognition by Fleet Feet Sports and Mizuno as one of their five recipients (and the only Missourian) to receive "The Power of Running To Inspire" award. The prestigious honor recognized Teri for her inspirational running efforts and charitable work with a number of cancer-related organizations including her recently established not-for-profit Powered By Hope Foundation.

Check out Teri's incredible fight with cancer and her work to inspire others to deal with their day-to-day struggle on her web-site  PoweredByHope.org  With only a five-year survival rate of six percent, she knew the odds were against her, but she wasn't going to give up her dreams to cancer.
