• Chillicothe woman facing charges in February incident involving Concerned Citizens for the Community Board (kmzu.com) — A Chillicothe woman has been summoned to Livingston County court after police say a February board meeting for Concerned Citizens for the Community led to a disturbance and removal of items from a local thrift store. Investigators allege store manager Kimberly Kay Skoog took merchandise, wiped a store computer, and removed records from a Chillicothe-area charity program. Her first court appearance is set for June 17.
   

• Chillicothe mayor: 'City made mistakes' in home zoning situation (kmbc.com) — Chillicothe’s mayor now says the city is responsible for permitting a manufactured home that zoning rules don’t allow, and has ordered the city attorney to seek a settlement with homeowner Taylor West. West, a Livingston County sheriff’s sergeant, wants only to stay in her Chillicothe home, which was fully approved and occupied before the city demanded its removal.
   

• Missouri senators vote to remove private school voucher program from treasurer's office (republicmonitor.com) — Chillicothe’s own State Sen. Rusty Black is helping lead a bipartisan move to shift Missouri’s MOScholars private school voucher program from the state treasurer to the education department. The bill, which also broadens voucher eligibility for some students with disabilities, still needs House approval before it can reach the governor.
