Visitors can check out the Gateway Arch for free Jan. 14-16, in recognition of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.
Tram rides to the top of the Arch usually cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Formally called the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial, the Gateway Arch reflects the role of St. Louis in the Westward Expansion of the United States during the nineteenth century.
