• Page's proposed St. Louis County budget includes cuts and pushes dire need for new revenue (stlpr.org) — St. Louis County's newly proposed 2027 budget could mean continued service cuts, building closures, and possible tax or revenue changes that directly affect Clayton residents and the Roos Government Building downtown. With the aging county administration building in Clayton ordered vacated by the end of 2027 for fire-safety reasons, leaders are weighing consolidations, road maintenance shifts to municipalities, and another attempt at a use tax to avoid deeper reductions.
