ā¢ Missouri S&TĀ Concrete Canoe Design Team wins regional competition (mst.edu) ā An Eldon native, Missouri S&T student Maddox Berlener, helped the universityās Concrete Canoe Design Team win its regional competition and qualify for nationals this summer. The team dominated every race and presentation category at the American Society of Civil Engineers Mid-America Student Symposium, earning Missouri S&T its first concrete canoe regional title in over 50 years.

ā¢ Oklahoma Elite Cranford takes Day 1 lead in wind-blown Grand Lake Open (anglerschannel.com) ā Eldon pro angler Casey Scanlon sits in third place after Day 1 of the Bassmaster Open at Grand Lake in Oklahoma, weighing a strong 20 pounds, 14 ounces. The wind-blown event produced big bags across the field, and Scanlon is well-positioned to chase another Ozarks-region Open win and a possible Bassmaster Classic berth. Ā Ā Ā
