Fenton teen selected as 2015 Bank of America Student Leader
Fenton resident Andrew Hof is one of five St. Louis teens selected for the 2015 Bank of America Student Leaders Program

Andrew Hof, a Fenton resident and recent graduate of St. Louis University High School who will be attending Fordham University in New York in the fall, is one of five St. Louis teens selected to be part of the 2015 Bank of America Student Leaders program this summer. The program awards the students a paid, eight-week summer internship at a local nonprofit and a trip to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Bank of America Student Leadership Summit.
Hof is passionate about addressing the ongoing challenge of equal education in the St. Louis community. Throughout his high school career, Hof was deeply involved in helping to find a solution to this problem by volunteering at the St. Gemma Center for Autism and at St. Louis the King School. It was from these experiences that he learned to be patient and understanding with others in order to create individualized relationships, and in return helped to give students a personalized school experience by conducting fun experiments and relaxed conversation, acting both as a teacher and a friend.
As part of the Bank of America Student Leaders program, each student receives a paid eight-week internship. Hof is interning at the International Institute of St. Louis. The internships provide students with valuable work experience while also supporting the nonprofits with extra help this summer.
