• Stolen puppy found nearly 300 miles away (fox8.com) — A puppy stolen from the Petland store in Fenton was found wandering nearly 300 miles away in Illinois and safely returned thanks to its microchip. Store staff say Frankie is healthy and has since been adopted, and they're using his story to remind Fenton pet owners to keep microchip contact information up to date.

• 'That could have impaled me': Crossbow user overshoots target, hits Amazon delivery van (wftv.com) — An Amazon delivery driver in Fenton narrowly avoided serious injury when a crossbow arrow, fired from about 100 yards away, pierced his windshield and several packages while he was working. Police say the shooter overshot a target during practice, and conservation officials are urging Fenton-area hunters to use safer backstops and avoid shooting near neighborhoods.
