Aikman, whose remains returned home Thursday after 81 years. An escort brought him from St. Louis to Forsyth, and a funeral service is set for May 22 at 1 p.m. at Community Presbyterian Church, where his parents once worshiped.

• Capital City's Fowler to start play in Class 2 boys tennis singles (newstribune.com) — Forsyth tennis fans will note that doubles players Griffin Coen and Ryan Deroo cruised past School of the Osage’s Brady Clark and Blake Harrison 6-1, 6-0 in a Class 1 state consolation match. The story mainly follows Capital City’s Braxton Fowler entering Class 2 singles play at the state tournament in Springfield.
