• Annual Spring Festival of Country Music taking place May 22 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center (muddyrivernews.com) — Hannibal residents can enjoy the free Spring Festival of Country Music at 6 p.m. Friday, May 22, at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center. Local band Memory Lane and guests will perform, with concessions supporting a Salem Christian Church youth group and Hannibal Parks & Recreation sponsoring the event.
   

• Riedel Foundation awards matching grant to Support youth theater programs (muddyrivernews.com) — Hannibal’s Bluff City Theater has secured a $5,000 matching grant from the George H. Riedel Foundation to keep its YETI youth theater programs free for local kids and teens in 2026. The season will feature summer camps, a youth-run production, and a Christmas camp, with room for up to 80 participants and hundreds of family audience members. The theater is now launching a campaign to raise the matching funds.
