• Foundation doles out first round of grants (myleaderpaper.com) — Herculaneum is getting a $50,000 boost to expand Kade’s Playground, thanks to a record-setting round of Jefferson Foundation grants across Jefferson County. Nearly $3.9 million is going to health, transportation, food, housing, and youth programs, meaning more local services, better access to care, and improved amenities for families in and around Herculaneum. 
• I-55 project shifts to Pevely (myleaderpaper.com) — Expect major I-55 ramp closures near Pevely this month, while MoDOT also moves ahead with replacing the Hwy. 61-67 bridge over Joachim Creek in Herculaneum without disrupting traffic. The broader $246 million corridor project now runs into 2027, so residents using I-55, Hwy. Z, or detour routes should plan for changing patterns and heavier traffic nearby.
