The Truman

After two studio albums and nearly seven years as a band, Free Throw is making a significant change to their identity. The group — who has sung openly of personal struggles related to substance abuse and body image — is holding nothing back on What’s Past is Prologue, their third full length record, due out March 29, 2019 on Triple Crown Records.
Past releases may have provided small glimpses into Free Throw’s history as a band and personal lives outside of music, but What’s Past is Prologue is the group at their most forthcoming. The 12 tracks contained on the album detail the continuing mental health struggles of lead singer Cory Castro, and serve as a complete story of what happens when you decide that everything in your life needs to change.
“This album is very much about me hitting rock bottom from a mental health standpoint and the process I took in building myself back up,” Castro explained. “With the last record, I was trying to talk about my mental health, but at the time I was actually going through it. The last album felt like I was yelling from the void. This time I’m looking back into the void and I’m able to understand what was going on.”
The beautiful anguish that often comes with personal growth and an unexpected reckoning of self is palpable from the album’s outset. Beginning with “Smokes, Let’s Go” — a track of transition that features surprisingly delicate vocals and simple strings switches to impassioned shouts and furious instrumentals — Free Throw lead us out of the darkness and into the light.
As Castro explains, the record is split into two parts. The first half of What’s Past is Prologue explores the weight of personal blame, with singles — including the gunning and practically unstoppable “Tail Whip, Struggle” and the limitless, swaying tenderness of “Stay Out Of The Basement” — setting the stage for an impactful finale. As the album nears its conclusion, “Today Is Especially Delicious” provides a tumultuous turning point, with the band tearing through Castro’s shouted confession of “Is this what I had planned for my life/I need a hand of some type to pull me up and break this cycle of drinking for breakfast.”
That frank sincerity propels the album forward, and serves as a catalyst of change for the band. As a group, Free Throw has consistently turned their darkest days into moments that fans can sing and dance-along to, and for the first time, the band has arrived at this place where it’s all coming together, and maybe this is really only just the beginning. “This is the first Free Throw record with a happy ending,” Castro said. “The album leads to an ending of where the band stands today. We’re all happy to be doing what we’re doing, and it’s kind of the happy moment where we’ve become the band we were always meant to be.”

Here in 2026, Dogstar is clearly All In Now. After 20 years of silence as a band, this California-based power trio – guitarist and lead singer Bret Domrose, drummer Robert Mailhouse, and bassist Keanu Reeves – surprised many and perhaps even themselves when they returned in fine form in 2023. Only a few years later, Dogstar is returning with its 4th studio album full of strong new songs that leave no doubt they’re back for good with a powerful sound that is bigger and better than ever before. “Our last album was our ticket into a party,” says Bret Domrose. “And now we’ve shown up to the party.” Dogstar is a group of three friends who have slowly yet surely become a band of brothers who are excited to get back on the road this summer, including a 25-date “All In Now” North American Tour. As Reeves says, “For me, the attitude was like, ‘Let's work hard and let’s GO.’” All In Now is the most vivid reflection of the passion and chemistry that has been driving Dogstar’s heartfelt rock & roll dreams from the start. For Mailhouse, “The whole album may not hit quite as hard as the title track, but it really sets up the energy at the heart of this album.” Dogstar credits producer Nick Launay – whose long track record includes everyone from Midnight Oil to Nick Cave to Amyl and the Sniffers – with bringing a new sense of energy to All In Now. On record and onstage, prepare to have Dogstar turn your head around in a new way with All In Now.View Tickets & More Info

Demola (also known as “Demola the violinist”) is a musician, singersongwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and an award-winning an internationally acclaimed violinist, recording artist, and electrifying live performer known for redefining the sound and cultural perception of the violin in contemporary music. Fusing classical technique with Afrobeats, pop, R&B, hip-hop, gospel, and cinematic orchestration, he has built a global brand that positions the violin at the center of modern mainstream entertainment.
Born in Nigeria and later expanding his career to the United States, Demola began teaching himself the violin at a young age, quickly distinguishing himself through discipline, passion, and stage charisma. His early foundation in classical music gave him technical mastery, but it was his bold decision to blend African rhythms with Western contemporary sounds that set him apart.
Rather than confining the violin to orchestras and concert halls, Demola brought it to arenas, festivals, churches, corporate stages, and global streaming platforms—making it cool, expressive, and culturally relevant to a new generation.
A defining hallmark of his career is his worldwide sold-out tours. He is currently on his 4th headlining tour titled “D Fearless Tour 2” (which started in December 2025). Demola has headlined and produced international concerts experiences across Africa, Europe, North America, and beyond, consistently drawing thousands of fans. Each city becomes more than a concert—it becomes a movement, celebrating culture, excellence, and the elevation of instrumental music on a global stage. He has a rich Afro-sound new age singing voice that is so peculiar and nostalgic.
His album “One In A Million” (which includes Lova, Mbappe, YGMC, One In A Million, Ma Boo) showcases his voice and violin blend peaked at number 7 in the world music genre on Apple Music worldwide. This album has garnered millions of streams and the songs are choruses on the lips of his fans worldwide.
In 2024 & 2025, he made waves with his collaborative viral amapiano song “FORGIVE OUR TRESPASSES,” which was a global hit and was highlighted at Lollapalooza, Coachella, and many other festivals across the world. In fall 2025, he released his highly anticipated amapiano album:
“D Fearless” and followed up with cover album “Classics with Demola: 80’s RnB & Pop, Vol.1” which has been highly circulated by fans and amassed millions of streams globally. Demola is a fan favorite, performing for national and local television including Good Morning America, ABC News, Fox news, and many more. Aside from being a musician, he is the first artists of his kind fusing the various timbres of Afro-beat, the colorful sounds of Reggae, R&B, Reggaeton, Jazz, a bevy of buoyant pop tones, and the animated bounce of hip-hop while coherently blending it all together with the EUPHONIOUS MELODIES OF HIS VIOLIN. He is a trailblazer and he is changing the face of music worldwide.
Adored by millions across the world, internationally recognized multi-genre violinist & award-winning artist, “Demola the Violinist” brings his electric personality and musical talent to any stage. Fusing the various timbres and genres, including Jazz, Classical, Rap, Country, Rock & Roll … and his Own ORIGINAL SONGS, he has made a name for himself and his artistry bridging the gap between traditional classical music and contemporary sounds. Demola was the official violinist for many award winning, legendary R&B groups including Tony! Toni! Toné! and Dwayne Wiggins from 2018 – 2022. In 2024 Houston he had a collaborative performance at the Houston Rodeo with country music award winning sensation with Jelly Roll. Over the years, he has performed for presidents, dignitaries, major brands, and international audiences, solidifying his reputation as one of the most dynamic live violinists of his generation. Notably, he performed the National Anthem for every major American Sports Teams (baseball, American football, soccer, basketball etc) in his home Houston Texas, this includes Houston Astros, Rockets, Dynamo and Texans and he also has performed for the Atlanta United, Atlanta falcons etc packed with stadiums of over 75,000 people. Bright Eyes began in 1995 in an Omaha basement as a recording moniker for a then 15-year old Conor Oberst’s work with producer/multi-instrumentalist Mike Mogis. Mogis and composer/arranger/multi-instrumentalist Nate Walcott became fully fledged members in 2006.
Over the last two-plus decades, as Bright Eyes has released one after another time capsule LP’s – urgent dispatches from transcendent, fleeting eras of our collective lives – they’ve also simultaneously been assembling a robust, mature, narratively cohesive discography. Bright Eyes' impact and influence has been significant throughout pop-culture, appearing in countless films and television shows, their songs covered by dozens of artists including Lorde, The Killers, Mac Miller, Phoebe Bridgers, Jason Mraz and beabadoobee, and sampled by rappers like Young Thug and Lil Peep. For a band that’s often been perceived as an outlier, the depth, breadth, and impact of the Bright Eyes canon is remarkable.View Tickets & More Info

THE WRECKS
Nick Anderson (Vocals)
Aaron Kelly (Bass)
Billy Nally (Drums)
Nick “Schmizz” Schmidt (Guitar)
Hailing from rural Wellsville, New York – almost exactly two hours south of nowhere, it’s not too surprising that there wasn’t much of a music scene. So, in the absence of one, Nick Anderson built one from scratch. In search of like-minded souls who loved the punk and alternative sounds he preferred, Nick turned to the internet. He recruited Aaron Kelley, Billy Nally, and Nick “Schmizz” Schmidt, to road test a new band: The Wrecks.
The band’s top five tracks on Spotify have been listened to more than 140 million times, & their first single was a Top 40 Alternative Radio hit. The band's sophomore album, Sonder, is out now. The band’s most recent single, the lead track of the deluxe version of Sonder, “Things You Make Me Do”, finds the Wrecks’ music evolving sonically & lyrically while still keeping close to their alternative-pop roots.
Now as they progress towards an even larger reach that far extends above the foundation that they have already built, The Wrecks are poised for a wide-open road ahead of them.View Tickets & More Info

The mantra of the Friends?
Go put a smile on somebody's face, go tell somebody they've got a place in this world, go tell somebody you wanna be friends with them.
For as much as Sammy Rae & The Friends may be a band, this collective of dreamers and artists considers themselves a family first. That all-for-one and one-for-all camaraderie ignites their unforgettable and can’t-miss live shows, which serve as a catharsis for both the musicians and their fervent audience. Fronted by singer/songwriter Sammy Rae and honed through years of touring, the group is capable of flourishing in any spotlight thanks to its signature blend of palpable chemistry, deft virtuosity, and vocal fireworks.
Their sound, which has attracted new fans by the thousands in the past few years, is a unique mélange of Sammy’s influences: classic rock, folk and funk and sprinkled with soul and jazz. Rae has been building toward this moment since moving to NYC from Connecticut in her early 20s. Finding herself without a built-in peer group, she simply built it herself: the literal and proverbial Friends. When she started playing shows, she made sure the audience was part of the family too. Everything that’s happened since – from EP's "The Good Life" (2018) and "Let’s Throw a Party" (2021) to sold-out shows in major markets and secondary markets alike across North American and the UK & Europe, to high-profile festival sets around the world, including Bonnaroo’s main stage, Sound on Sound, All Things Go, and more – has been based on friends telling friends.
With the release of their debut album "Something For Everybody" in 2024, Sammy Rae & The Friends have come to represent more than just a band: they are a full-on movement being adopted with refreshingly diverse clientele. The band is currently working on their next album.

Judah and the Lion's Revival comes at a moment of rejuvenation and evolution for the band, both personally and professionally, with a world looking to get back to normal. Judah Akers and Brian Macdonald return with the band's fourth album that aims to channel the energy and spirit presented at the beginning of the group’s journey.
Revival is a collection of songs that speaks to the band's return to innocence and hope through reclamation. They look inwards on life’s changes as a group that still finds energy in innocence after touring for 8 years and reaching heights on the Billboard charts and earning awards like iHeart Music’s Best New Alternative Rock Artist of the Year in 2018.
"It's learning to let go of things that are out of our control," Judah said, reflecting on working with his therapist through anxiety and depression. "Finding purity in life again. For all of us, we're gifted innocence when we're born, and at some point in our lives, be it through choices or tragedy, innocence is robbed. Second innocence is where we're not given it, but we choose to take it."
In their last release, Pep Talks, Judah processed the loss of stability with his family. In the leadup to Revival, he was able to process his grief and anxieties alone in his home. The band toured nonstop for eight years, giving the project everything they had. Being primarily on the road prior to 2020 created a misunderstanding of where they were individually and their connection to feeling at home.
"Being home and not getting to mask my emotions with being on tour and being around crowds was big," Judah said. "It's an easy distraction because you can avoid dealing with it emotionally. You can get on stage and perform, and everything's fine."
Brian also had a journey in finding peace and putting in work to feel complete in a different emotional environment. His wife attended a graduate program in Sweden, thousands of miles from the home they made. As the world slowed to a halt, he had to find comfort in Visby Island's cold, lonely, and grey terrain.
"The big thing for me was re-learning what ‘home' means," Brian said. "Leaving my home and trying to make a new one and realizing that home wasn't a physical place for me."
When they came back together, their fulfillment alone proved to change not just themselves but how they fit together. Founding member Nate Zuercher informed them he was leaving the group, changing dynamics for a group of friends making music together for over a decade. Brian picked up the banjo, trying his best to fill the void Nate left but making his playing be his own and offering a new style.
The loss of a key member helped Brian and Judah grow further in reinvigorating their partnership. It brought new energy to their songwriting and collaboration. In the Fall of 2021, Judah & Brian invited their longtime friends and touring musicians with them to record at Echo Mountain in Asheville, North Carolina.
"It was one of the most fun times we had in the studio," Brian said. "There was a lot of freedom to it, and it felt like a retreat. We were all in it.”View Tickets & More Info

Trampled by Turtles are from Duluth, Minnesota, where frontman Dave Simonett initially formed the group as a side project in 2003. At the time, Simonett had lost most of his music gear, thanks to a group of enterprising car thieves who'd ransacked his vehicle while he played a show with his previous band. Left with nothing more than an acoustic guitar, he began piecing together a new band, this time taking inspiration from bluegrass, folk, and other genres that didn't rely on amplification. Simonett hadn't played any bluegrass music before, and he filled his lineup with other newcomers to the genre, including fiddler Ryan Young (who'd previously played drums in a speed metal act) and bassist Tim Saxhaug. Along with mandolinist Erik Berry and banjo player Dave Carroll, the group began carving out a fast, frenetic sound that owed as much to rock & roll as bluegrass.
Trampled by Turtles released their first record, Songs from a Ghost Town, in 2004. In a genre steeped in tradition, the album stood out for its contemporary sound, essentially bridging the gap between the bandmates' background in rock music and their new acoustic leanings. Blue Sky and the Devil (2005) and Trouble (2007) explored a similar sound, but it wasn't until 2008 and the band's fourth release, Duluth, that Trampled by Turtles received recognition by the bluegrass community. Duluth peaked at number eight on the Billboard bluegrass chart and paved the way for a number of festival appearances. When Palomino arrived in 2010, it was met with an even greater response, debuting at the top of the bluegrass chart and remaining in the Top Ten for more than a year. Two years later, their crossover appeal landed them at number 32 on the Billboard 200 pop charts upon the release of their sixth album, Stars and Satellites. In addition to major bluegrass and folk festivals, they began showing up at Coachella, ACL Fest, and Lollapalooza. The official concert album, Live at First Avenue, followed in 2013, recorded at Minnesota's most famous venue. A year later, the band returned with the darker-toned Wild Animals, which bettered its studio predecessor on the album charts, reaching number 29 on Billboard. Countless tours with bands like Lord Huron, Wilco, Caamp, Mt Joy and Deer Tick to name a few have followed. 2022 will see the release of the band’s latest body of work called Alpenglow which was produced by Jeff Tweedy of Wilco.View Tickets & More Info

PALACE ARE BACK WITH “KID” AND MASSIVE TOUR OF USA + CANADA
Palace have been making music together for over a decade. What started out as carefree jam sessions between Leo Wyndham, Rupert Turner and Matt Hodges in an airless studio in North London has burgeoned into a project that has amassed a global audience more akin to a community than a fanbase.
Their early EPs - Lost In The Night (2014) and Chase The Light (2015) - were recorded in the band’s beloved aforementioned studio, The Arch, and established a DIY ethos that remains intrinsic to the spirit of the band to this day. Four albums followed; So Long Forever (2016), Life After (2019), Shoals (2022) and Ultrasound (2024): each one a musical exploration of a particular feeling in a particular place during a particular time; ranging from grief and the loss of a relationship to the emergence of new love and light. Consequently, it's not easy to sonically classify Palace. Their sound varies from the atmospheric and ethereal to the more grounded notes of Blues and Americana, yet in every song there is still something remarkably identifiable as Palace: an ineffability to the feelings conjured up by the music. In a word, transcendent. Perhaps it is this feeling of transcendence which resonates so deeply with their supporters; loyal fans who, by the time Palace had made their Coachella debut in 2024, welcomed them home to a sold-out show at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
In early 2025, Palace took a career leap that harkens back to their DIY origin. They released the Greyhound EP on their own label, Palace Presents - a collective they'd started in 2016 as a monthly night at The George Tavern in East London, which had quietly grown into something more intentional. A positive and protected space as Leo described it, away from the usual constraints of the music industry. The EP followed a sold-out run across the USA and Canada to growing crowds of dedicated fans.
Kid was released in April 2026, together with the announcement of a 30 date tour of the USA and Canada in the Fall of 2026, culminating in a show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. “Kid is about longing for a child an ocean away. It’s the ache we feel for our people when we’re separated from them. It doesn’t feel like a sadness or heaviness, but more an affirmation of that love, a primal release sung into the sunset as the road flies by."
The journey from an airless studio in North London to the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles is a long one, and by doing things their way, Palace have managed to arrive still recognisably, unmistakably themselvesView Tickets & More Info
