Changes To Trash Pickup, Recycling And Leaf & Brush Drop-Off Hours
Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day are fast approaching and bringing along changes to the holiday trash pick-up schedule.

Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day are fast approaching and bringing along changes to the holiday trash pick-up schedule and the city’s recycling centers’ and leaf and brush drop-off site’s hours of operation.

Regarding trash/recycling pick-up:
- Thanksgiving - no trash service on Thursday, Nov. 26 (Thanksgiving Day). Trash normally picked up on Thursday will be collected on Friday, Nov. 27, and trash normally picked-up on Friday will be collected on Saturday, Nov.28.
- Christmas and New Year’s Day - no trash collection on Friday, Dec. 25, or Friday, Jan. 1, 2021. Trash normally picked up on Friday will be collected on Saturday
Holiday hours for the city’s recycling centers (Pleasant Valley Park- 401 N.E. Pleasant Valley Rd.; 5200 E. Red Bridge Rd (U.S.71/I-49 and Red Bridge Rd.); and the Environmental Campus-4707 Deramus):
- Closed Thanksgiving, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27 (open Saturday, Nov. 28)
- Closing at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24 and Thursday, Dec. 31 (Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve)
- Closed Christmas Day (Friday, Dec. 25) and New Year’s Day (Friday, Jan. 1, 2021)
Holiday hours for the city’s leaf and brush drop-off sites (11660 N. Main St.; 1815 N. Chouteau; 10301 Raytown Rd.):
- Closed Thanksgiving (Thursday, Nov. 26) and Friday, Nov. 27 (open Saturday, Nov. 28)
- Closed Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25 (Christmas) and Saturday, Dec. 26
- Closed Thursday, Dec. 31, Friday, Jan. 1, 2021 (New Year’s Day) and Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021
The city’s leaf and brush drop-off sites close on Saturdays from mid-January 2021 through mid-March. The last Saturday the sites will be open is Jan. 16, reopening March 13. The sites remain open Monday through Friday throughout the winter (fees apply).
