The huge crowds expected for Wednesday’s victory parade will impact city services, especially those facilities located downtown, as hundreds of city employees shift duties to help set up for and clean up after KCMO’s first Super Bowl victory parade in 50 years.

Here’s a rundown for Feb. 5:

KCMO 311
• Closed from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Kansas City Municipal Court
• Located just three blocks from the parade route, all hearings at Municipal Court are cancelled, due to closed streets, limited parking and bus service. The building is open to the public from 8 a.m.-11 a.m. and from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Judges will review cases for those being held in-custody. All other Municipal Court cases, however, will be continued to later dates. The parties in those cases will receive notices in the mail with the new court dates. Kansas City Health Department
• The main building, 2400 Troost Ave., will close its doors and parking lots to the public on Feb. 5., reopening on Thursday, Feb. 6, at 7:30 a.m. Most clinics open at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6. The Office of Vital Records opens at 7:30 a.m. Find more information about hours of operation for each clinic online.

City Planning and Development
• All inspections will be cancelled on Wednesday but will resume Thursday. All public offices at City Hall are closed from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Trash & Recycling
• Trash, recycling and bulky-item collection will shift one day later than usual. Thursday collection will take place on Friday. This change is necessary because these workers will be cleaning up after the parade.
