Kansas City Businesses Invest in Fight Against Lung Cancer

Local companies support the LUNG FORCE Glam

Several Kansas City businesses are coming together to fight lung cancer for the American Lung Association in Kansas & Greater Kansas City’s LUNG FORCE Glam at Arrowhead Stadium on May 9.

Presenting sponsors of the event are The Accurso Law Firm, The University of Kansas Health System together with The University of Kansas Cancer Center, and Applebee’s in partnership with Centralized Supply Chain Services. Saint Luke’s Cancer Institute is a Gold Sponsor of the event. These local companies have committed to a significant investment in the Lung Association, which supports their mission to improve lung health and prevent lung disease in the community.

“Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer of both men and women in the U.S. There so much more that needs to be done to prevent and treat this terrible disease, and we know we can’t do it alone,” said Linda Crider, the executive director for the Lung Association. “The investment of these local companies is vital in helping us fund life-saving lung cancer research to provide better treatments and help find a cure for lung cancer.”
