Kansas City Customers Advised Of Wastewater Overflow Near 3051 Central Ave.

Crews cleaned rock and debris that plugged the 12" pipe and restored normal flow to the pipe.

KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 3051 Central Ave. at 12:20 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2020. The overflow ended the same day at 2:40 p.m. and spilled approximately 1,400 gallons of wastewater. A manhole was found overflowing near the area. Wastewater surfaced and entered into a catch basin which leads to Penn Valley Lake. Crews cleaned rock and debris that plugged the 12” pipe and restored normal flow to the pipe. Crews used a video camera to confirm that all stoppage had been removed.
