Kansas City Wastewater Overflow Complaint Near 812 Nw 70th Street

(Kansas City, Mo.) – KC Water responded to a wastewater overflow near 812 NW 70th Street at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2020. The overflow ended the same day at 11:25 a.m. and spilled approximately 250 gallons of wastewater. A manhole was found overflowing near the area. Wastewater surfaced and entered into a storm drainage ditch which leads to recorded detention pond. Crews cleaned and opened a debris stoppage near the manhole restoring normal flow to the collection system. Crews used a video camera to confirm that all debris was removed.
