August 21, 2020
What better way to show your KC Spirit than taking some time to help us plan the next 20 years in KCMO? As we update our Comprehensive Plan that guides the future of our city, The KC Spirit Playbook, the City Planning and Development Department is seeking your input via a Virtual Town Hall on Thursday, Aug. 27 at 5 p.m.

A comprehensive plan sets priorities and reinforces citywide policies and practices that have a relationship to the City’s built environment. Our nationally-recognized Comprehensive Plan, FOCUS, is more than 20 years old and ready for a refresh. Just a few of the many projects influenced by the policies and plans in FOCUS include:
- 18th and Vine District improvements
- Power and Light District
- Redevelopment of the Municipal Stadium site
- Trail connections to Brush Creek
Our Virtual Town Hall will focus on the big issues that The KC Spirit Playbook will address. After a short orientation on the comprehensive planning process and some live polling, we will break into small groups to discuss and review some of the feedback we’ve received so far. To participate online, or to call in to the meeting, please find a meeting link at playbook.kcmo.gov or find information below.
