Local Event to Deliver Vital Lung Disease News to Kansas City
LUNG FORCE Expo Educates Health Experts, Patients

Local healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers will learn about the latest trends, resources and research on lung cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and other lung diseases at the LUNG FORCE Expo on June 15.
Hundreds of lung health experts will gather for the event, hosted by the American Lung Association in Kansas & Great Kansas City, at the Kansas City Marriott Downtown.

“There are more than 600,000 people in Missouri and more than 200,000 in Kansas who suffer from lung disease, including thousands who battle lung cancer,” said Linda Crider, executive director for the Lung Association. “That’s why this event is more important than ever to communicate new treatments, help people live better with lung disease and share the newest research.”

The event features nationally recognized experts, including Dr. Heath Latham from the University of Kansas Health System, Dr. Jane Taylor with Children’s Mercy Hospital, and Dr. Joseph Stilwill from the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute. See the full list of speakers here.
