Meet an “Amazing” Swift With Racquet and Ball

An avid table tennis player, Bill Guilfoil, 94, tried out for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Bill Guilfoil, age 94, has been playing table tennis since the 1930s. He practiced hitting against a wall at home, which he says took him almost to the National Championship. Although he didn’t make the Olympic team going to the 2016 Rio Games, Bill did try out for it, proving that there’s no stopping someone with a passion, regardless of age. Bill plays, competes, and coaches table-tennis at his local Racquet Club, where he enjoys meeting people from all walks of life. He’s always interested in new things, and works on improving himself physically and mentally, in all situations. A true “Amazing!”
